OPEN Healthcare and BUNDANG JESAENG HOSPITAL open a new chapter in Kazakhstan’s Healthcare through international collaboration

OPEN Healthcare Kazakhstan, LLP (hereinafter referred to as “OHKZ”) and DAEJIN MEDICAL CENTER BUNDANG JESAENG HOSPITAL (hereinafter referred to as “Bundang Jesaeng Hospital”) held an international collaborative clinic event on November 15, 2024, at the OHKZ Clinic in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Bundang Jesaeng Hospital, a general hospital with over 520 beds and a wealth of medical expertise since its establishment in 1998, is renowned for providing patient-centered care through collaboration with various medical specialists via its International Healthcare Center. During this collaborative clinic, the focus was on Gastroenterology and Urology, allowing interactions and medical consultations with patients from Kazakhstan.

After the opening ceremony, Professor Sang-Jong Park, Director of the Gastroenterology Center and International Healthcare Center at Bundang Jesaeng Hospital, collaborated with Dr. Tulepbergenova Gulnar Shermatovna, an Internal Medicine Specialist at OHKZ Clinic, to provide joint consultations for patients suffering from gastrointestinal diseases such as fatty liver, liver cirrhosis, and liver cancer. A total of 24 patients visited for consultations and treatment.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jeong-Hwan Son, Head of the Urology Department at Bundang Jesaeng Hospital, and Dr. Taimasov Madi Karataevich, a Urology Specialist at OHKZ Clinic, conducted joint consultations for conditions such as frequent urination, nocturia, hematuria, prostate disorders, as well as pediatric urological conditions like cryptorchidism and hypospadias. A total of 18 patients received precise diagnoses and personalized treatment.

Director Geon-Sang Park expressed his hopes, stating, “I wish for the collaboration between Korean and Kazakhstan medical professionals to bring healthier and happier lives to the people of Kazakhstan. We will continue our efforts to expand international collaborations across various medical specialties.”
