
On September 26, 2025, a delegation from the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology (NHDV), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Hữu Doanh – Director of NHDV, together with leading dermatology experts and physicians, visited the headquarters of Open Healthcare Vietnam Joint Stock Company (OHVN).
The visit marked a significant step in fostering collaboration, sharing expertise, and exploring new avenues in laboratory diagnostics and dermatological disease management.
A Professional and Engaging Working Session
The meeting took place in a warm yet professional atmosphere. Representing OHVN, Mr. Lee Jong Seung – Chief Executive Officer, and the company’s senior management team extended a cordial welcome to the delegation. During the discussion, Mr. Lee emphasized OHVN’s vision to bring Korean-standard laboratory technologies to Vietnam, supporting hospitals and healthcare institutions in improving diagnostic accuracy, efficiency, and speed.
Visiting OHVN’s Korean-Standard Laboratory
Following the formal meeting, the delegation toured OHVN’s state-of-the-art laboratory. The company’s technical specialists presented detailed overviews of molecular biology and microbiological testing procedures, as well as the fully imported and synchronized laboratory equipment system from Korea that complies with international quality management standards.
The OHVN laboratory is designed to operate under a fully automated, closed-loop testing process, minimizing human error and ensuring optimal accuracy. The lab is equipped with PCR analyzers, automated systems, and advanced biotechnological platforms that enable faster test results while maintaining reliability and safety.
The NHDV specialists expressed keen interest in OHVN’s capabilities in molecular diagnostics for infectious diseases, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HPV, and its applications in dermatology, oncology, and immunology. These technologies are expected to facilitate effective collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in early detection, timely treatment, and monitoring of therapeutic outcomes.
Long-Term Collaboration Strategy
During the working session, both sides discussed long-term cooperation opportunities. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Hữu Doanh highly appreciated OHVN’s model of a modern laboratory built according to advanced Korean standards, emphasizing that the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology always values scientific collaboration and technology transfer, particularly in specialized diagnostics, to enhance the quality of dermatological care in Vietnam.
From OHVN’s side, Mr. Lee Jong Seung reaffirmed the company’s readiness to cooperate in technology transfer, laboratory management, professional training, and the joint development of advanced diagnostic services.
Both parties also explored the potential for clinical research collaboration, especially in areas such as HPV testing, genetic analysis, and biomarker research related to skin cancer, immunological disorders, and hormonal diseases. By integrating cutting-edge diagnostic technologies into medical practice, the collaboration aims to advance precision medicine and contribute to the overall improvement of healthcare quality in Vietnam.
