Self-Test

Allows consumers to receive the desired tests without being constrained by time, location,
and quickly
confirming the results. We can prevent the deterioration and spread of the diseases.

Overview

Self-testing refers to medical diagnostic tests that consumers can use for disease prevention and monitoring their health at home through self-diagnosis.

Consumers can choose and purchase the testing products they need through various sales channels (online or offline). After collecting samples at home, they can either

1) directly check the results or

2) send the samples to a clinical laboratory for confirmation.

Depending on the presence of abnormalities in the test results, subsequent medical services such as telemedicine can be connected.
For self-testing, representative samples include blood, urine, and swabs. With OHC’s unique technological capabilities, a small amount of blood can be easily and conveniently collected at home.

Representative self-tests include Infectious Self-Diagnostic Tests:

  • These tests can be performed at home for infectious diseases (e.g., STIs, COVID-19, etc.).
Samples, such as blood, urine, or from a patient’s body part, are collected and analyzed.
  • Cholesterol Test: Uses a small blood sample to measure cholesterol levels.
  • HbA1c Test: Measures glycated hemoglobin levels to assess average blood glucose levels.
  • Thyroid Function Test: Measures thyroid hormone levels using a blood sample.
  • Allergy Test: Identifies specific allergies using a blood sample.
  • Vitamin D Test: Checks for vitamin D deficiency using a blood sample.
  • Colorectal Cancer Screening Test: Early detection of abnormalities in the colon by detecting blood in stool samples.
  • Cervical Cancer Screening Test: Early detection of abnormalities in the cervix by collecting cervical cells.

These tests provide convenience and accessibility to healthcare services, especially in cases where regular hospital visits are challenging.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a global increase in consumer interest in health and safety.
Therefore, self-testing contributes to preventing infectious diseases and monitoring health as part of a proactive lifestyle.
